Councilman Paul Battle Announces Run For Mayor

MARCH 27, 2020 PORTSMOUTH, VA.

Portsmouth City Council member Paul J. Battle has officially announced that he will be running for the office of Mayor for the city of Portsmouth, Virginia. With incumbent Mayor John Rowe not seeking re-election in 2020, Battle is one of several candidates seeking to be elected into the office of Mayor.

Battle who is a native and life-long resident of Portsmouth, is an alumni of I.C. Norcom High School, Veteran of the United States Army and graduate of Norfolk State University. He was elected to City Council in 2018 where has served the city diligently ever since. Paul’s record of voting on matters critical to the city is solid and he wishes to continue making sound choices as Mayor by doing what is best for the citizens of Portsmouth.

Paul Battle has always fought for what is best for the city of Portsmouth and is a well known benefactor who has made thousands of dollars in donations to youth sports, and community organizations throughout the City of Portsmouth.

Paul Battle’s love for the City of Portsmouth, his work ethics, selflessness and legacy of contribution to the City of Portsmouth should make him a favorite amongst voters.
